PREPARING FILES FOR STEM-MASTERING
-
Deliver files in the same format as your session. In the best case that would be a 44.1kHz 24bit wave, without dithering or conversion
-
Remove all master bus processing/plugins
-
Deliver tracks with stereo signals in stereo and tracks with mono signals in mono
-
Name all files appropriately; 'Drumkit', 'Vocals', etc. (Please not: Audio 1, Audio 2, Audio 3, etc.)
-
All editing is done beforehand (crossfades, breaks, vocal cleanup etc.)
-
Make sure nothing is clipping/distorting
-
Remove fade in and fade out but leave it on the rough master for reference
-
Remember to check the bounced/exported files before sending them to us for stem-mastering, to make sure nothing is missing and everything is playing correctly
-
Include your latest approved rough master and a couple of reference tracks if possible (not mandatory). Please include your thoughts on how your want the master to sound like
-
Zip and send the files via an upload client such as Google Drive, Swisstransfer, Wetransfer, etc.
