PREPARING FILES FOR MASTERING

  • Deliver files in the same format as your session. Optimally 44.1 kHz 24bit wave files without dithering or conversion

  • Remove all master bus processing/plugins, especially compression/limiting

  • Make sure nothing is clipping/distorting (no peaks above 0 dBFS)

  • Remove fade in and fade outs but leave them on the rough master for reference purposes

  • Remember to check the bounced/exported files before sending them to us for mastering to make sure nothing is missing and everything is playing correctly

  • Please make sure to include tempo (BPM), song key, and full name of the production ('Artist Name' - 'Song Name')

  • Include your latest approved rough master and a couple of reference tracks if possible. Please also include your thoughts on how you want the master to sound like. If you would like my personal opinion on how to improve your mix you can send me your final mix (please with no master processing plugins activated) and I will leave comments free of charge. This service is recommended as it helps both parties to achieve a better sounding result in the end.

  • Zip and send the files via an upload client such as Google Drive, Swisstransfer, Wetransfer, etc.
